Q: How can I restore curl to heat damaged ends?
Unfortunately heat damage is irreversible. There is no way for it to be permanently restored...it sucks, but its true. You have two options:
1. Chop the ends all at once
2. Chop a little bit over the next year---so that its not a drastic loss of length. During this time you can wear bantu knot outs, crochet styles, flexi rod sets, and twist-n-curls to help the ends along.
Q: How frequently should I have my locs professionally serviced?
Every three weeks, in some cases four, depending on the style. Keeping the hair covered with a snug fitting satin/silk cap or scarf while sleeping, working out and sweating can help the hair to lay down. Additionally, styling the hair with updos, braids and twist can extend the style while simultaneously cutting down on “the fuzzies”.

Q: With all the Youtube DIY videos I can do my own hair, why pay and go to a professional stylist?
Glad you asked! I could probably go on YouTube and figure out how to perform an oil change on my car, and after the time, energy and money I would have spent (not to mention I probably would have done it incorrectly), I would have to ask myself was it worth it? Should I have just spent the extra money to save my time and have the peace of mind knowing that the professional will have used quality products and had the knowledge to detect things I would have missed? Your stylist is trained and skilled in the art of hair styling! They are using salon quality products and are able to achieve your style in a fraction of the time that it will take you. With regular visits to your stylist your hair should be healthy and growing and your job at home should just be the light maintenance of your style. With proper education you and your stylist should be achieve your hair goals, with minimal effort on your part and you can spend your precious time doing more of the things you love to do! #trustyourstylist
Q: What are Hydration Treatments?
A hair steamer is an effective tool that adds moisture, restores color vibrancy and strengthens the elasticity of hair. The steamer uses heat and water to lift the cuticle on the hair shaft and allow conditioners and treatments to penetrate each strand. Another benefit of hair steamers is that the moist heat encourages blood flow to the scalp. Aided circulation of the scalp equals healthier, longer growing hair,
People with natural hair those who are transitioning from chemically-relaxed to natural hair recommends steaming because it softens the demarcation where the straight portion ends and the curls begins. Styles will last longer and hair will also retain moisture longer.
